What an amazing time we had at yesterday’s Variety Show! 🎤✨

Our students truly shined on stage, showing off their incredible talents, confidence, and creativity. From singing and dancing to unique performances, it was a joy to watch each act and celebrate our talented school community.

A special highlight of the night was a surprise performance from our very own principal, Dr. Scales, and 5th grade teacher, Mr. Binondo — they absolutely stole the show and had everyone cheering! 👏

Thank you to our families for coming out to support, and to our staff and students for making this event such a success. We are so proud of all of our performers! 💛

TVHS Graduation
Dear Families,

Join us in celebrating our amazing teachers this week! Each day has a fun theme to help show our appreciation for all they do. Small gestures truly make a big difference!

Tuesday – “You’re a Ray of Sunshine” ☀️
Wear yellow, orange, or another bright, sunny color (sunglasses welcome!).
Add a paper sun or sticker with one word that describes your teacher, and bring a cheerful note or drawing.

Wednesday – “Shore Appreciation Day” 🌊
Wear blue, teal, white, or sandy beach colors.
Bring a “wave of thanks” note and greet your teacher with a smile and a wave!

Thursday – “Tropical Thank You” 🌺
Wear tropical prints, leis, or flower accessories.
Bring a paper fish, flower, or seashell with the message:
“My teacher helps me grow by…”

Friday – “Beach Bash” 🏖️
Wear Hawaiian colors, tropical prints, sunglasses, hats, or flip-flop colors.
(Please remember to wear school-appropriate shoes.)
Decorate a paper flip-flop with a thank you message, or bring a card or drawing.

Ways to Show Appreciation:
A handwritten note, drawing, kind word, “student helper” coupon, favorite snack or drink, school supply item, or a gift card are all wonderful ways to say thank you.

Let’s make this a special week for our teachers—they truly make waves every day!

Thank you for your support,
Tartesso

NAU Pathway to Teaching
The safety of our students, staff, and families is our top priority. Please help us keep everyone safe by following these guidelines:

- Use the designated entrance and exit only
- Be patient during drop-off and pick-up times
- Drop off at the curb only (no parking lot drop-offs)
- Always use crosswalks — no crossing between cars
- Please avoid distracting staff during arrival/dismissal
- If you need to speak with a staff member, please schedule an appointment or wait until they are finished
- No drop-offs before 6:45 AM, as staff supervision is not available
- For pick-ups after 3:20 PM, please come into the office and sign your student out

Thank you for your continued support in keeping our campus safe and running smoothly. We’re looking forward to a great week!

Friendly Reminder: AASA Testing This Week!

Dear Families,

This is a friendly reminder that AASA testing is taking place this week. We are excited for our students to show what they’ve learned and appreciate your support in helping them feel confident and prepared each day!

Here are a few helpful tips to set your child up for a positive testing experience:

Get a good night’s sleep each evening so your child is well-rested
Eat a healthy breakfast to fuel their brain and focus
Arrive at school on time to avoid feeling rushed or missing important instructions
Encourage a positive mindset—remind your child to do their best and stay confident
Dress comfortably so they can focus without distractions
Bring a water bottle to stay hydrated throughout the day

We are proud of all the hard work our students have put in this year and know they will do great things! Thank you for your continued support in helping make this a successful testing week.

Let’s make it a great week! ✨

Testing
We want to take a moment to emphasize the importance of strictly following our drop-off and pick-up procedures to ensure the safety of all students, staff, and families.
Recently, we have noticed an increase in unsafe practices that put everyone at risk.
Please remember the following expectations:
Crosswalks must always be used. This is the safest way for students and families to cross and helps staff manage traffic effectively.
Do not drop off or pick up students in the parking lot. This area is not designed for student loading and unloading and creates dangerous situations.
Drive slowly and remain patient. Our procedures are in place to keep traffic moving as safely and efficiently as possible.
Please avoid stopping staff for conversations during drop-off or pick-up. Our staff members are focused on student safety during these times. If you need to speak with someone, we are happy to assist you after procedures are complete.
We understand that mornings and afternoons can be busy, but these expectations are critical in preventing accidents and ensuring a safe environment for everyone on campus.
Thank you for your cooperation and continued support in keeping our school community safe.
Sincerely,
Administration
