Saddle Mountain Community Institute (SMCI) is an opportunity for stakeholders to gain a behind the scenes look at the operations of the Saddle Mountain Unified School District. SMCI works to develop local leaders to actively participate in and support community progress. SMCI will teach stakeholders about district operations, build local leadership skills, and connect community members. Members will meet monthly (September - May). Members will receive dynamic learning experiences as well as direct instruction related to the month’s topic. Meetings will take place both during the evening and the school day to allow members to observe students, teachers, and operations in action. Members are also encouraged to attend at least one governing board meeting throughout the year.
